Pushkar is an important place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Sikhs in India because it has so many beautiful temples and gurudwaras, including the only "Lord Brahma Temple" in the world. It is near the natural Pushkar Lake, about 10 kilometers from the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan, in the western Aravalli Range. And because Pushkar is in a state with a lot of hot desert, it has very hot summers and cool, pleasant winters, with only a little rain during the monsoons. People think that Pushkar is an old city because it is mentioned in many Hindu myths and other important Indian texts. So, this Temple Town's colorful and unique history has attracted both domestic and international tourists, many of whom are also religious. But that's not all. This quiet town has a lot more to offer than meets the eye. 

It has become a popular place to go on the weekend, especially for young people from nearby cities like Jaipur, Ajmer, Delhi, etc., because it has so many fun things to do, like boating on the lake, camel safaris, camping and hiking, cable-car rides, shopping for local handicrafts, and more. Along with the Rose Garden, Mertha, Pushkar Bazaar, Varaha Ghat, and other interesting places that are worth seeing during a short visit. It is also best known for its annual Pushkar Mela, a five-day cattle fair that takes place in the month of Karthik (October/November). It is the biggest and grandest event in the town. Thousands of locals and tourists come to enjoy rides, folk performances, shows, and the most important thing of all: the trading of many cattle, horses, and camels from different parts of the country. Holi and Diwali, two important Hindu holidays, are also celebrated with a lot of passion and joy, making it one of the sights you can't miss. 

Tourism is doing well in Pushkar, which has helped the locals and many high-end brands and industries become more business-like. Because of this, there are many hotels and resorts, small cafes and restaurants with food from all over the world, and other modern facilities. All of them have prices that range from low for people on a budget to high for people who like to spend a lot. So, Pushkar is a city where everyone is welcome and where you can have an experience like no other. Even though the city is full of tourists all year, the best time to plan a short trip to fully enjoy the beauty, partying, and peaceful surroundings is from October to March.
