Zoji La

The famous Zoji La pass links Ladakh and Kashmir and is only 9 km from Sonmarg. The route is just a slender line running through the mountains. The area, with its high altitude peaks that frequently appear to brush the clouds, is a present from nature and is more than just the hairpin bends and rocky roads.

With its snow-covered mountains, its beauty only grows during the winter; however, the route is still blocked because of the amount of snowfall. As the scene of the Indo-Pakistan War in 1947–1948, Zoji La Pass is also rich in historical importance. Zoji La can be a pleasant and unforgettable experience for those who view adventure as difficult road journeys involving perilous highways and high-altitude passes.

As you pass through, you can see the stunning Himalayan mountain range, which is covered in greenery, as well as waterways and a mesmerising valley. Mid-October to April is the ideal period to visit the pass. Zoji La is one of the top tourism destinations in Sonmarg for thrill-seekers.
