Thajiwas Glacier
The "Jewel of Kashmir," the Thajiwas Glacier, is three kilometres from Sonmarg and features a frozen lake, snow-capped mountains, fir and pine trees, alpine meadows, gushing cascades, and small streams. It is a go-to location for trekkers and is also well-known for pony racing and sledding. The months of April through October are the best for travel.
