Pura Rambut Siwi, Bali - Wanderela

Pura Rambut Siwi, another well-known and attractive temple in Bali, is situated on the west coast, to the east of Yeh Embang Village, amidst an incandescent tranquility. The temple is conveniently reachable by motorcycle or automobile and is located around 10 kilometres from Negara. Every day, both locals and visitors flock here to adore the deity.

The major portion of the temple is placed on a cliff bank, offering a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean encircling the island in such exquisite beauty. Along the main route between Denpasar and Gilimanuk, there is a representative temple edifice.

Danghyang Nirartha is thought to have brought the temple into being when he arrived in Bali. According to a legend, a wise man once saved a hamlet from an epidemic by giving the residents his hair as a sign of protection before departing. The significance of this temple's name is likewise connected to the sage's hair.

Since the main building is perched on a cliff, getting there requires mounting several stairs that lead to an open entrance. There are shrines and places of prayer inside the temple, and you can also take in the alluring beauty of the ocean quite well.

One of Bali's largest temples, the area around it is pristine and features little towns and tropical woods. The premises contain a range of Bali's indigenous species. According to local legend, the temple guards the communities by shielding them from the sea's harsh effect. It is one of the island's most important water temples.

Location: The temple is located in Yeh Embang Kangin countryside in Jembrana regency. It would take a drive of 2 hours 30 minutes from Denpasar town to the west of Bali or 45 minutes from Negara town.
