Pali - Wanderela

Located on the banks of the Bandi River, Pali is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is 70 kilometers from Jodhpur and sits at an average elevation of 214 meters, earning it the moniker "The Industrial City."

The city emerged from the Western Sea, which covered much of modern-day Rajasthan, and has been the seat of many historical dynasties, including the famous Rajputs. Pali is the economic center of Rajasthan, surrounded by the districts of Nagaur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Rajmasand, Udaipur, Ajmer, Sirohi, and Jalore.

Various dynasties, from the Guhilas of Mewar and the Chauhans to Maharana Pratap, Harshavardhana, Prithviraj Chouhaan, and finally Sher Shah Suri, ruled the city at various times. Despite Pali's reputation as a commercial hub, the city also boasts a number of historical landmarks, including forts, temples, and dams. The city is also symbolic of the Jain culture that has long flourished in Rajasthan.

As a result of the city's many rulers, it features forts and temples with a wide range of architectural and artistic influences. The Ranakpur Jain Temples, Jawai Dam, Ranakpur Dam, Parshuram Mahadev Temple, Nimbo Ka Nath Temple, Sun Temple, and Samand Lake are some of the city's most well-known landmarks. The Baoris and elaborate step wells of Pali are also well-known attractions.

Pali, like most cities in Rajasthan, can reach 45 degrees Fahrenheit during the day in the summer, so it's best to avoid traveling there then. From October until March, you can expect mostly mild temperatures and pleasant evenings and mornings.
